Dupont’s Avec les Bons Voeux: “With best wishes” This beer was first brewed in 1970 as a gift to the very best customers of the Dupont brewery. The stronger richer “winter” saison became so popular the Dupont brewery increased production year after year so now we can enjoy it here in Portland. The beer is golden in color, fragrant (lemony with hints of pepper, banana and clove) with a rich malt flavor that lingers. This is my favorite beer from the unparalleled Dupont lineup. 9.5% ABV
Delirium Noel: Strong rich Belgian ale that is extremely drinkable. It has a sweet malty aroma with a hint of candy sugar. The flavor is tart and sweet with a thick mouthfeel. It is boozy but in a pleasant way. 10% ABV

Join The BeerMongers for a FREE beer tasting featuring Seasonal and Year-Round offerings from Portland’s own Mactarnahan’s Brewing. We will have our dear friend Carrie pouring samples from 4-6pm Saturday November 5th as we prepare to watch the Oregon vs. Washington game on the big screen at 7pm.
Join the BeerMongers for a Halloween party to benefit Sisters of the Road. Our friend John Foyston suggested a “Beer Glass Swap” as a way for us to raise some money for charity and to help provide our customers with appropriate glassware for their beer. The idea is simple:
1. Customers bring in up to 4 beer glasses to donate. (We will be swapping bottle openers too!)
2. Customers choose up to 4 beer glasses to take with them.
3. Customers donate $1 for logo pint glasses and $2 for stemmed glassware to Sisters of the Road.
4. Beer Glass Swap hours Saturday Oct. 29th 3pm to midnight & Sunday Oct. 30th All Day.
We will have live music Saturday night from 7-10pm featuring Friend of the Mongers DEVON.
We will have a beer raffle featuring Elysian Pumpkin Stout, The Great Pumpkin, Rogue Voodoo Doughnut Beer, a 3-liter Stone Anniversary Black IPA and more (tickets $5).
Bottles for sale will include Rogue, Southern Tier and other Pumpkin beers and great drafts too.
Customers in costume will be entered into special beer prize drawing.

Join The BeerMongers in celebration of our favorite beer blog BREWPUBLIC’s 3rd Anniversary. Angelo and his cohorts have been keeping us posted on all the important beer events with colorful articles and lots of photos of our beer heroes. Brewpublic and The BeerMongers have forged a special relationship with the brewers of Bend and Central Oregon. We have secured kegs of usual and rare beer from Bend Brewing, Cascade Lakes, Deschutes, Boneyard Beer, Good Life, Below Grade, 10 Barrel and Three Creeks. The Good Life and Below Grade are new breweries and we are excited to try their brews. Of course we will have some beer related prizes to raffle off. CHEERS!
Join the BeerMongers in welcoming one of Portland’s newest breweries to the store for a tasting event. Chris and Alex started Two Kilts Brewing in Sherwood several months ago and they are making some great beers. We will have two on draft to sample, a Fresh Hop Pale Ale and a Belgian-style Red. Chris will be on hand to answer any questions about the beers and how to find their tasting room. There will be some snacks and NFL on the big screen. Cheers!

The BeerMongers and Anderson Valley Brewing will host the 2nd Annual PDX Bike Scavenger Hunt on Saturday September 17th. This event sets teams (of 2 to 4 people) against each other to figure out clues, retrieve items and prove they have been to specific locations around inner Portland. No drinking during the Hunt is required but you may be thirsty after the event and Anderson Valley super-rep Erin will be providing FREE samples of 5 of their great brews from cans, bottles and draft to the “Hunters.”
The Hunt will take place from 11am to 3pm on Saturday September 17th. Meet in front of The BeerMongers (12th and SE Division) around 10:30am to do final registration and your packet of clues.
The fee is $20 per person and includes a T-shirt, beer tasting, prizes and a raffle, additional proceeds will be donated to the Oregon Food Bank. First prize is a wheelbarrow (small) full of unique beers from Bend, Oregon (provided by Mom and Dad BeerMonger). Second prize will be mixed case of Anderson Valley beers. There will be a prize for “Best Dressed” team. There will be many beer related prizes in the raffle for everyone in the Hunt.
